Welcome to Manual High School’s Drumline, “South Side STEEL.” We are doing things quite differently from the past. This year, we are opening our after-school practices to incoming freshmen for the 2025-2026 school year.
We allow Freshmen to participate in our practices every Wednesday. This will continue throughout the summer break as well.
Wednesdays during school: 2:13 pm - 7 pm (arrive when you can)
Wednesdays during summer: 10 am - 3 pm
Practice attire:
White Tee shirt
No jeans allowed
closed-toed shoes
SUMMER 25 BAND CAMP
School is back in session July 30th, 2025. We will host a 2 week band camp where the incoming freshmen will get to experience the full throttle of being a part of our prestigious South Side STEEL drumline.
Practice Times: 10am-3pm Monday thru Friday
Monday & Tuesday the 28th and 29th we will not have practice. Keep in mind that Participating before the 2025-26 school year does not guarentee you a performance slot on our roster but it will increase your odds giving you an advantage to learn the material faser.Practice attire:

Gym shorts ONLY, any color allowed

NOTE: You do NOT need a music or band class in your schedule to participate in our drumline. You need to attend Manual High School. That’s the only requirement
STEP 1.) Fill out the information below to properly register before attending practice.
STEP 2.) Once you have filled out the information, you will need to download the app “Group Me” to join our group chat for the incoming freshmen
STEP 3.) Join the “BP Drumline” Group Me
STEP 4.) Introduce yourself. First and last name, the school you came from, and why you want to join the drumline!
